A Silent Community

I went back to the communal garden today – the one my husband found on the map years ago.

I sat on the edge of the roundabout while my daughter slept in her sling.

It’s becoming my peaceful place – a space for reflection, peace and quiet.

And the other people who come to this garden are also seeking peace and quiet… Each of us absorbed in our own silent worlds.

I realise I have discovered a silent community of peace-seekers – and that I have made myself a part of it. And I find this beautiful.
